About Office Angels
Office Angels (NZ) Ltd is an accountancy, bookkeeping, accounting software, and process improvement business, established in 2007, that has built a fantastic reputation for delivering first-class services. We have an amazing Tauranga CBD location at the bottom of Third Ave, with spectacular views of Mauao, and modern office space.
We’re growing fast, so we’re looking to add to our experienced bookkeeping team to meet the needs of our clients.
Job tasks and responsibilities
We’re after someone with extensive bookkeeping experience, covering many or all of the following tasks:
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- GST returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Accounting systems setup and support
Initially for 20-25 hours a week, this role has the potential to grow to full time quickly if both parties desire it.
Skills and experience
We’re not after someone just for data entry. We’re looking for someone who understands the bigger picture of bookkeeping so they can add real value to our clients. We’re very happy to induct the right person into our culture and make them feel part of the team, but we also need someone to hit the ground running with minimal supervision and system training.
The right candidate will therefore be proficient in a variety of systems and have the aptitude to pick up unfamiliar ones quickly. Xero certification is essential, and knowledge of other software, such as MYOB, Infusion, and iPayroll, would be advantageous. That person also needs confidence in charging their time correctly, so experience in an accounting practice is essential.
The people we are looking for will have the following personal attributes:
- Self-starter able to work independently with initiative
- Fantastic communication and people skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to focus on the task at hand but also work with multiple clients
- Team player with the confidence to ask for help and provide support to other staff members
- Honest and reliable
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments
You’ll be working from our office and also visiting clients around the Bay of Plenty, so a driving license is essential.
Applications for this vacancy close at 12pm on Wednesday 2nd May and interviews will take place during the week of the 7th of May.
